Title: Artemis Fowl
Author: Eoin Colfer
Review:
Tops on my list. Full of drama and action. "Artemis Fowl" is about a 12-year-old boy genius, who is the son of a great length of criminal masterminds. He needs to find a way to restore the family fortune. So, he researches the People. Elves. Pixies. Trolls. Dwarfs. But then, like all geniuses, he bites off more than he can chew. He kidnaps an elf named Holly Short. But little does he know that elves aren't the joyous people of bedtime stories... For while humans were smashing rocks together, they were figuring out scientific formulas...

Title: Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident
Author: Eoin Colfer
Review:
As the second book in the Artemis Fowl series, The Arctic Incident definitely meets expectations. Artemis is back, and the People still hate him, but this time there's an unlikely partnership involved. Holly and Artemis team up to rescue Artemis' father from the Russian Mafia, and figure out who is supplying goblins with batteries to power their weapons.

Title: Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code
Author: Eoin Colfer
Review:
Once again, Artemis Fowl is back and committing crime, this time against his father's wishes. Artemis is trying to make a deal with a shrewd pirate, who in the end shoots Artemis' faithful bodyguard. Artemis is trying to sell him a stolen piece of fairy technology. What the pirate doesn't know is that Artemis is the only one who knows the code, and it would take approximately 10 years to crack. The faster way? Kidnap Artemis and torture the answer out of him.

Title: Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception
Author: Eoin Colfer
Review:
Holly Short, Artemis Fowl's rival, and her father-like commander, Commander Root, have been lured into a trap that in the end will kill one of them. When Holly is framed for Root's murder, it's up to her to save Artemis from Opal Kobio, an old enemy, and to save to underground world from Opal's side: humans.

Title: Banner in the Sky
Author: James Ramsey Ullman
Review:
I love "Banner in the Sky". The detail is so incredible that you feel like you are climbing up the Citadel with Rudi and the climbers. If you love to get active and feel a part of a story, "Banner in the Sky" would be a great book for you to read.

Title: The BFG
Author: Roald Dahl
Review:
I liked this book. The BFG stands for the Big Friendly Giant. The BFG never went to school which meant that he couldn't speak, write, or read well. My favorite part of the book is when Sophie, a little girl, and the BFG travel to England to meet Queen Elizabeth. They told Q.E that there was a Giant Country. They also said that the giants went out at night to eat children. The BFG was a vegetarian. At the end, the army and the navy captured the giants and the children of the world were saved. I recommend this book to all readers who like adventure books.

Title: The Dark is Rising series
Author: Susan Cooper
Review:
This series is awesome!!!! Susan Cooper is a great writer! It has 5 books about a boy named Will who, on his 11th birthday, discovers he is the last of the Old Ones. Along with a Welsh boy named Bran, an Old One called Merriman, and Simon, Jane, and Barney Drew, Will learns many things and has many adventures. Sad in some parts, but mostly very exciting! 5 Stars!!!!!

Title: Once Upon a Curse
Author: E. D. Baker
Review:
I loved this book! I just piked it off of my shelf and started reading it. It pulled me in right away! I haven't read the previous books in the series, The Frog Princess, or the Dragon's Breath, but it still made lots of sense to me. I'm reading Dragon's Breath right now. Apparently I'm reading the series backwards. You could pick up any book in that trilogy and be into it immediately. If you're looking for a quick, funny, and interesting read, then read one of these books, they're awesome! Also, no one is too old or too young to read these books.
