For your convenience, we have included some free email services offered on
the Internet. However, Timberland Regional Library System does not
assume responsibility for your security while using any of the services
listed below. Library staff members are not trained on all of these
email services, and therefore might be unable to help you. If you are new to
email, check out the email tutorials on the
Internet, Computing page.

Web2Mail
Free service lets you pick up your email from anywhere in the world. No need to register.
There are many sites that provide Email accounts. These sites allow you to
send and receive email from any computer with Internet Access.
Care2 Email
An environmentally conscious, free email provider - 10% of ad revenue is donated to environmental causes. Features include 100 MB storage space, 10 MB attachment capacity, lots of stationary, spam blocking, and mail filtering. No IMAP access or encryption.

FastMail
A great free email site with 10MB mailbox size, POP3 and IMAP access, and a powerful and flexible Webmail service. Provides a clean, intuitive interface and many domain names to choose from.
 GMX Mail
Reliable email service with spam and virus filters and 5 GB of online storage. Includes a rich web interface as well as POP or IMAP from a desktop email program.
Google Gmail
Gmail is fast, includes free services that other Web-based mail services charge for, and provides 2 GB of free storage. The spam filter isn't configurable, but works well. It supports POP3 but not IMAP.
Inbox.com
A polished, fast and functional web interface including fast search, free-form labels, and reading mail by conversation. Supports POP. Provides 5 GB storage.
Mail.com
Provides 3 GB of disk space and lets you create your own, unique domain name (like mad.scientist.com) and spam and virus protection. A negatives is that there are lots of ads.
My Way Mail
A clean, fast email service free of pop-up and banner advertising and with automatic spam filtering. It lacks secure messaging and POP/IMAP access.
TheFreeSite.com
Provides a list of General-purpose and specialized email services.
Windows Live Hotmail
5 GB (and growing) of online storage, fast search, solid security, POP access and an interface easy as a desktop email program.
Yahoo Mail
One of the better free email services - secure and reliable with virus scanning, email encryption, and an automatic, effective spam filter. Provides 250 MB of storage and includes an intuitive interface. Lacks IMAP support and serves up many ads. Intellisync application synchronizes address book, calendar, and so on with a PDA or with organization software.
Zenbe Mail Personal
Zenbe Personal organizes your emails and attachments with labels and search. Provides 4 GB of storage and integrates calendar, to-do list, twitter and Facebook updates.
